Wow the price is right. I have a high end huepar laser level and I got this one for when I don't want to set up the big one. I use this mostly for setting up pipe fence. There is a limit on the laser brightness for pretty much all over the counter laser levels. This laser was usable for me under a shade tree and also under a tent. I'm very happy with it. I went with green over the red because green is generally a hi-Vis laser color and I need to work in a well lit areas. The cross beam easily helps to mark out true level, and rotating this on a tripod (that I already had) was almost too easy to find low & high spots. Instructions that came with it are clear and easy to understand. Not much to it: put the batteries in it, turn it on & unlock the self leveler. It's also smart enough to flash if it's sitting too far out of level that it cannot self level. Very sturdy; I dropped it once from around waist height and it got knocked round quite a bit. Overall great product. The vertical line has a bright line end to end.** A: a DOT is the brightest, LINE is second brightest, CROSS has a fade because the Second Line has to go through more internal mirrors to be formed from one Laser Beam. All of them Fade because they are not perfectly straight lines and the Horizontal line is the Second Line formed in this device. In a bathroom it worked perfectly for lining up tile on all the walls across from each other as well as the same walls. Your not using it to build a watch at a 100 feet. **Q: Would this work outside at around 30' on a cloudy day? All I need to see is if some gutter work is worth doing.
