It has glue all over and looks like it was handmade. It is a rustic birdhouse that is made the way things used to be made before things had to be perfect and uniform. If you are the type that wants things perfect, do not buy this as you will be very dissapointed. If you make crafts, then you know the amount of time and energy, plus materials, makes this a good buy at the price. If you want a birdhouse that you put outside, this can very well work but expect this to fall apart after one season as the glue will not hold up long term in the heat of a Texas summer (no idea where you are from but may be fine a bit up north... then again, not with the summers the entire country has been having lately!).I purchase a birdhouse for my mother every christmas and this was this years christmas present. I know in the future, I will inherit her 'birdhouse' collection that I have gotten for her over the years.
