I ended up taping over the hole with smaller pieces of stronger, more clear tape so there is no more problem with leaking rocks. I feel this is a minor issue and not enough to return or contact the company about, but just thought it was something I would have liked to know before I purchased. Other than this weird quirk, the craftsmanship is beautiful and at the end of the day, a Buddha is a symbol greater than some minor factory issue. Would recommend but am wondering if this is a defect or standard with the product.After Alicia from the company reached out, she was incredibly gracious and replaced my statue at no cost and quickly. Though I did not ask for a replacement, I am grateful for the kindness of the company.
