Heavy Metal is one of my all-time favorite movies — a wild, trippy, animated ride that still holds up decades later. It’s this perfect mix of sci-fi, fantasy, rock music, and unapologetic weirdness that you just don’t see in films anymore. The animation is gritty and unique, every story has its own style, and the soundtrack absolutely shreds — pure 80s energy from start to finish. It’s definitely not your typical animated movie; it’s dark, sexy, violent, and completely over the top, but that’s what makes it so iconic. There’s a raw creativity to it — like someone took a stack of metal album covers and turned them into a movie.
