When I realized that I needed to buy inserts I did some research and read some reviews and found that buying a pillow insert 2 inches larger than the cases was suggested in several reviews. I did that and they filled out just fine. I was trying to replicate the look of honey leather suede so the orange brownish color was spot on. Even the fabric feels more dense and rigid like suede. The only thing that wasn't great was that the fabric has a shiny appearance that takes away from the illusion of suede. The 20" size fits my 20" feather inserts with some room, so sizing down one size will likely result in a fluffier, more supportive pillow. I would also recommend washing before use as there was a lot of color running off in the first wash.
