Most projectors today have HDMI ports, but occasionally you will still find an old one with only VGA. Having HDMI and two USB ports means I can use this at home, leaving my desktop monitor, mouse, and keyboard all attached to this dock, having to only plug one thing in to have all three devices connected.The dock gets warm but not hot during usage. Not only does it work with HDMI monitors, but the audio information is passed too. That was unexpected and very nice.
