It will not creep, shrink or shred. Suitable for fast application at low temperatures. Cures on lightly contaminated surfaces and does not require a primer on inactive metals. **Q: Can this be used on natural gas grill orifices?**
A: No. Heat is used to loosen this sealant. Use pipe dope.

**Q: Is this compatible with propane lines?**
A: It should be I never used it 
I did used it on auto gas systems which are a propane mix

**Q: Would I need to use the 7649 primer if I was screwing a brass fitting (active metal) into a stainless steel (inactive metal)?**
A: Actually I would recommend anti-seize compound.  This will lock the thread where anti-seize will prevent reaction between dissimilar metals
