A: Hi, I'm not sure what a green Starbucks stopper looks like.  Does it fit inside or outside? Dimensions? What I do is just flip the lid upside down, so it's just resting on top of my latte, not sealed in, until I sip it down further and then don't need the top at all.  Hope that helps. 
P.S. The mug keeps the drink hot enough, so not sealing in the lid isn't necessary.

This is a great little cup. I bought it so I could ween myself off of store bought coffee. I wanted to have a cup that still gave me that store bought feeling but be reusable and just cool. This cup is perfect. Right out of the box the lid sealed perfectly for me, no leaks. And I didn't have any manufacturing smells that others have mentioned.
