We ran into heavy rain and hoped it would keep our luggage dry as stated in the description. This was not true. When we arrived at our destination I unzipped and found standing water inside. Luggage was soaked, dripping wet, all the way to our clothes. The material had disintegrated and was falling apart as shown on the pictures I posted. Waste of money and now have to buy new luggage. ## Images ![Cargo Bag Carrier,FinalBase Roof Top Cargo Storage Bag Water-Resistant Luggage Soft Side Carrier Bag for Vehicles with Roof Racks and Rails (20 Cubic Feet) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71DLQGgam-L.jpg) ![Cargo Bag Carrier,FinalBase Roof Top Cargo Storage Bag Water-Resistant Luggage Soft Side Carrier Bag for Vehicles with Roof Racks and Rails (20 Cubic Feet) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81Qo33MSFxL.jpg) ![Cargo Bag Carrier,FinalBase Roof Top Cargo Storage Bag Water-Resistant Luggage Soft Side Carrier Bag for Vehicles with Roof Racks and Rails (20 Cubic Feet) - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81AG4AAqzUL.jpg) ![Cargo Bag Carrier,FinalBase Roof Top Cargo Storage Bag Water-Resistant Luggage Soft Side Carrier Bag for Vehicles with Roof Racks and Rails (20 Cubic Feet) - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71iHiZS3TmL.jpg) ![Cargo Bag Carrier,FinalBase Roof Top Cargo Storage Bag Water-Resistant Luggage Soft Side Carrier Bag for Vehicles with Roof Racks and Rails (20 Cubic Feet) - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91v5NLmSsAL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ great roof cargo bag *by M***R on October 19, 2017* I bought this roof cargo bag as a gift for my daddy,he absolutely loved it and said it traveled well ### ⭐ Waste of money and now have to buy new luggage *by A***Y on October 24, 2017* Used this one time, first time, on a trip to Pennsylvania from florida. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Very roomy but not waterproof *by K***N on August 15, 2017* This is a roomy tote for the money but it's not very sturdy. One of the handles fell off the very first time we used it. The straps need to be longer to secure it to the luggage rack, and they are kinda flimsy. They give you extra ones but they don't fit with the other ones and we really didn't know what to do with them. Some directions would be nice. We ended up using our own straps to secure it to our Subaru Outback because the straps just weren't sturdy enough and it really didn't look like it would last. Also take note that it is water resistant and not waterproof! It rained on our very first trip and all of our stuff got soaked. It offers about as much protection as a book bag or a carry on tote. On the bright side, the zipper was sturdy and all of our stuff fit. We will keep it and just use our own straps to secure it to our car. That worked well. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/44767972-cargo-bag-carrier-finalbase-roof-top-cargo-storage-bag-water](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/44767972-cargo-bag-carrier-finalbase-roof-top-cargo-storage-bag-water) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-10-03*
