We used it many times this summer and it makes for an excellent place to simply take a break from the sun on a hot day. Our pool is in the shade all afternoon, however, before 2pm this baby was set up and lashed to the side of the pool. Easy to swim over and get out of the direct sunlight! Easy set up and take down. It's built pretty sturdy for the price. Hopefully, if I ever have a problem I can simply contact the company. They appear to be a small, family type of business. In any case, you can't go wrong with this thing. We bought it to supplement our sun shelf umbrella, which is stationary and only provides shade for a small portion of the pool. My 2 year old daughter loves to jump off the edge into my arms, but my back was getting roasted by the hot Texas sun. The first time we used this I was able to keep it positioned to keep us both protected from the sun.The installation was a breeze and only took about 3 minutes. Everything is made out of high quality materials. It was especially thoughtful that the cup holders are sized wide enough to fit a drink with a koozie. We haven't had any issues with it tipping over, but I only had 1 drink in there so I can't speak to it being full. The sun was so hot on my skin during the midday (I'm more of a floaty reader than a splashy swimmer) that I used the pool only in early morning or late afternoon. With the buoy, I tie a cute little nylon rope to the pole of the brelly and the brelly to the pole on the ladder and just kinda hang. Or, sometimes we float around together with the brelly attached to my float. Just me, the Pool Buoy and my Kindle comfortably floating around.
