Spitfire fighters helped to break German air supremacy one dogfight at a time. By late in 1944, however, they were beginning to run out of German aircraft to fight. Many were pressed into a ground attack role. There, they helped wreck German supply lines and hit strategic targets.

If you are a skilled model builder and have lots of fun with this hobby, this model is for you. This is for those who love SuperMarine Spitfires. It has the V12 RR Merlin engine. Review: Nice Spitfire for an excellent price - A number of Spitfires are available in this scale; this one is not quite the best, but those that are, cost quite a bit more. The only real criticism I've heard regards the pilot's seat, and excellent aftermarket ones are available for correct that---if you even feel it's necessary. I don't plan on going that route as I don't see it's needed. Otherwise, great detail, the shape is correct, and best of all the price is hard to beat.

**Q: May I ask what scale the model is ?**
A: 1/32 scale

**Q: What is needed to assemble - (glue, etc haven’t done this since I was a kid**
A: You will need a good liquid glue, a device to carefully remove parts from the sprues, a sharp hobby knife, appropriate model paint and brushes( the paints suggested will be on the instruction sheet), tweezers are helpful. tape to hold parts together, tape to cover clear parts while painting . Be patient and careful.

**Q: What is the wingspan of the finished model kit?    Does it come with a pilot?**
A: The wingspan on the 1:32 Spitfire XIC is aboyt 14 inches.  It looks great when finished.  I have always loved Spitfires and the XIC is not my favorite it seems more Spitfire than the Mk IIB.  No pilot there is a Mk II Hawker Hurricane that comes with a pilot.  BY the way there are several,kits that have tank members sitting that will fit great!  by Miniart1:35 is perfect fit and you can look up WWII RAF pilot uniforms and paint it to look like an RAF pilot..  This kit also from Amazon. Tankers helmets  look like pilots and they wore goggles as well.  I tried a kit by ICM "British Pilotss 1939-45 but pilot with parachute wouldnot fit.  BY the way the Brits sat on there's so could leave the actual parachute off.  By the way the RAF pilots come with mae Wesr life vests.  I photo copied mine and made several for other figures.  Good luc=k and enjoy.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Revell's box had multiple dents

Revell's box had multiple dents but seems that no parts were broken. Box seems old, sides open design. Great colorful Instructions but some part numbers did not agree with numbers on the "trees". Even though the scale is 1:32 many parts are very small.
