**Q: Is this good for baby formula does it boil the water?**
A: It definitely boils water.

**Q: Where is the heating element? I read that it is concealed. Is it in the base or built in the pot?**
A: The electricity contact from the base heats the bottom of the pot. The bottom of the pot has the most heat. There is no open element.

**Q: Can I cook rice in it especially when traveling ?**
A: I would guess that you could use the water to cook instant rice separately. However, I don’t think I would cook rice inside of this kettle. I Again, I would guess that cooking inside of the kettle would damage it.

**Q: Is it possible to purchase only the base?**
A: I dont believe so
