We do not suggest that you heat it in the oven cause an oven heats the pad from the outside to the inside, the surface of the pad will be hot but the inside might still be room temperature. In that case, the heating pad will lose the heat very soon failing to hold the temperature. But when you heat it in the microwave, It generates heat from inside to the outside slowly and holds the heat for a very long time. **Q: How long do you have to heat this up in the microwave?** A: Heat for two minutes up to maximum three minutes per instructions. i usually heat for two and a half minutes. **Q: Is this item scented or unscented?** A: Unscented.
