## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the outer diameter of the threaded part, and will this sensor work with water?**
A: Yes, it will work with water.  I believe the outer diameter is 1/4" male NPT thread.  That said, you can always use a bushing to adapt it to whatever you are screwing it into (e.g. make it work with a 3/8" NPT female fitting).

**Q: What is the country of origin?**
A: It is made in China.

**Q: I want to use this for a lab experimental procedure: will I be able to retrieve the pressure data in real time?**
A: That depends on what you mean by "real time." It outputs an analog voltage that is a linear slope ranging from 0.5 volts (or close to that) for 0 Psi up to 4.5 volts (or close to that) for the upper range of Psi per sensor (150 Psi for the one I purchased). I assume there is some minimal latency for the analog circuitry inside the sensor to convert mechanical energy to electrical energy, but on your end, as I'm doing, you'll need to use an ADC (analog to digital converter) to process the data digitally, which has its own set of latencies depending on processing speed, bit resolution, etc. For my purposes, it's close enough to real time since I'm using an arduino board with my main loop time of less than 20 milliseconds with several of these sensors, and other sensors.

**Q: How come my gauge is 20 psi off**
A: Here is the speciafication for  our item : 
Output: 0.5V–4.5V linear voltage output. 0 psi outputs 0.5V, 100 psi outputs 2.5V, 200 psi outputs 4.5V

Works with AEM X-Series 150psi oil pressure gauge. Plug and play. The sensor that came with the gauge always read high. Even when the car was off the gauge read 15-20 PSI when it should be 0. Purchased this sensor and now the pressure is accurate. Simple sensor swap, no need to do any wiring. Only been a day but so far so good. Hoping this sensor lasts.
