Review: Best dinnerware on the planet! - I bought a set of 8 of these 10" variegated blue plates in 12/2023. It's now 5/2026. They are as perfect as the day I received them. Except for one, RIP. They are all but impossible to break but somehow my husband, who has neuropathy in his hands, dropped one on its edge on the terracotta kitchen floor and a piece broke off. It must have been the angle cuz he's dropped others and they've survived. I really love using these dinner plates!!! The raised edges keep food on the plate. Spaghetti sauce doesn't stain these plates. And, yes, they are light weight. They are perfect for children, husbands with neuropathy, and people who just appreciate pretty, easy-to-use dinnerware. I've used melamine plates before and it's like eating off plastic; I didn't like the feel at all. These have a surface texture that in no way resembles plastic. I've been using them daily for 2½ yrs and I still absolutely love them. I recommend them 100%!

Although it cannot match the hardness of ceramics, it will only leave slight scratches when the knife and fork are used hard, so you can use it with confidence.
