This is Venu 2S (not Venu 2), so the watch needs a 18mm width band. I admit the pins that came with the band are little shorter than Gamin's original pins but only slightly shorter. To my naked eyes, maybe 0.2~0.3 mm shorter. So, it is not short to the extent the band falls off, and actually in my case, the band attaches security to my watch and never detaches. Garmin uses 1.8 mm diameter pins instead of most 1.5 mm diameter pins, so I separately ordered 1.8 mm x 18 mm pins just in case, but I didn't have to use them. Comparing to the separately ordered pins, the pins that came with the band are still slightly shorter but again not much and almost the same length. If your band still falls off, I suggest you buy pins separately and replace. Basically 1.5 mm or 1.8 mm diameter doesn't really matter. 1.5 mm diameter pins work for 1.8 mm watch holes but not vice versa in most cases.The quality of the band is fantastic and it is made of real leather and feels and smells exactly like real leather. My wrist circumference is about 175~180 mm and uses 4th hole (from the watch side) of the band and still 5 holes are left. My wife's wrist circumference is about 150 mm and uses the first hole. So, if you buy the 18 mm band for your sports watch and your wrist is small (especially ladies), expect you have to make another hole on the band yourself. Note that Venu 2S is a relatively small sports watch. If your sports watch is different one, most likely the band may be too big. And as the product description says, the length of the band varies depending on the band width.My watch has a rose gold watch face ring and the color of the band buckle is closer than the original Garmin's buckle color, lol.
