I occasionally have to move the dashcam mount, using the string cutting technique, which destroys the OEM pad. I have found these pads easy to trim to the correct size and they stay firmly in place on the windshield come heat or cold. During installation, just allow a couple of extra minutes to remove the protective covering from the pad.
