I added this card to a Windows 11 machine that had far too few USB ports, and the installation couldn’t have been easier. No extra power supply hookup was needed—the card truly is self-powered, and it was recognized immediately on boot. Within minutes, I had four extra USB 3.0 ports ready to use. Checked Device Manager, card was NOT in there so I tried another PCI-E slot and it registered in Device Manager and recognizes devices now. I was very worried about it dying suddenly like in other reviews but only problem has been two failures that required reboot. Card stopped working while being used with no warning. No system crash, just every card on device no longer showed up. Required a reboot and worked fine after that. Updated 10/10/21 The crashes seem to be caused by multiple access demands on the USB card. If you try to play media on two drives at one time you might freeze it up requiring reboot. Otherwise everything is still okay. Updated 2/08/22 the crashes are DEFINITELY caused by multiple calls to the card causing it to overheat and crash. I was using my phone on one USB, playing music on another USB and looking around in a third USB when the crash occurred. My power supply is 800 watt, it is NOT my power supply it is the cards limited capacity to hold a current that causes a fail. An otherwise PERFECT piece of machinery that should have been shop tested more with a greater capacitor.

**Q: Does this card work with dell xps 8930 computer?**
A: Almost burned up and melted my computer

Was watching youtube relaxing and got up to get a drink. I got back and the computer was off. I turned it on and then saw flames from inside the computer from the side vent ( no visible panel). I immediately pulled out all cables from the back the computer had already shut down automatically from what had been going on. The side of the case was hot. Had to bring it to the open door ( good thing we have a snowstorm cooled it right down.) I opened up the case and saw damage to the card. No visible damage to the computer. Not sure about the PCIe port though. The computer is up and running now. Had the card installed for 2 weeks or so and was working fine. Install was clean and no problems.

**Q: Is it built cheaply or have any issues?**
A: I didn't find it to be of poor quality.  I installed the card in a PCI e slot, plugged in a couple of USB devices and the computer/card recognized the devices immediately.  No issues and I have had the card installed for over a month.

**Q: Can i install this on a pcie x1 gen 2.x?**
A: Yes,absolutely ,seamless connects on PCIE X1 Gen 2.X . And forwards on PCIE GEN3.X, backwards on PCIE gen 1.x . The mother boards will select best solution.

**Q: will this work in a HP slim line case?**

It didn't work in the first PCI-E slot, only charged didn't recognize phone or other device. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great, Easy to Install

I got this card because I wanted to connect my external storage setup to my computer without having to use a USB hub. This little sucker is entirely worth the cost. It adds (4) USB 3.0 and who doesn't need that? I intend to purchase another for a different computer because it's just so dang useful. Pros: Simple construction allows for durable product Slim design means it can fit into practically any open PCI slot Easy to install Drivers come with Card (4) USB PORTS! Cons: I had to bend the back cover place slightly because it wasn't aligned perfectly and I wasn't able to plug a male USB in. I unscrewed the plate from the card, adjusted slightly, re-attached plate to card and installed into my computer and everything works great. The back plate being the only issue, I would give this 4.75 stars because there was a slight issue and I was able to fix the problem very quickly. I would recommend this card to everyone; it's a great addition for an amazing value.
