This lid is certainly very leak-proof, even with the flip lid closed and held in an inverted position. The flip up does not interfere at all with my normal sized nose. This is a very well-made lid, and the rubber gasket that prevents spilling is actually a double gusseted ring, that fits securely in the detent that is integral to the lid. The flip up part is durable plastic, with a molded rubber piece that fits into the clear plastic lid when closed -- thereby creating a solid seal at that point. I've had not one drop leak with this lid when totally inverted.Actually, after purchase here on Amazon, Lobo's rep Jeremy, emailed me to make certain I was happy with the purchase. Indeed, I am. The only issue I thought I might have is that the lid seals very well, and that it's somewhat difficult to remove. Even prying up with the small plastic tab which protrudes from the lid for that purpose proves difficult for me to remove the lid. I was told that each lid is inspected by hand before shipping, and had not had issues with too tight a fit. This tight fit on mine could easily be the result of the RTIC tumbler's dimension variability and not the lid. Still, Lobo (Jeremy) insisted that a replacement lid could be in the mail if I chose. Certainly, the very best customer service possible -- especially for an item that isn't overly expensive. I'd do business with Lobo again! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Used for Yeti *by A***R on February 18, 2017* This thing works great almost all the time. At a certain (hot) temperature it doesn't completely hold everything in, but once it cools off you can turn it upside down just like in the picture and everything stays in. The clasp does hit your nose when you go to drink, but it's not a huge deal. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The door does flip back far enough, the lid is awesome *by I***N on December 9, 2016* Just got it, fits my sams club version of the yeti, seems great, I will probably buy more for friends that have yeti-ish cups. Havent dropped it yet but did turn it over sideways.Saw another reviewer saying lid door doesnt go back all the way, mine does, almost touches the lid when it flips back. There is a place where it feels like it stops then it goes a notch further.EnjoyUpdate: dropped and broke my tab on the side opposite from the hole, still didnt leak, but concerned it will eventually. Going to contact for replacement since description says 5 years no questions asked. These are great, really great if they replace it.
