I have a few fish that will "glow" when exposed to blue led lights.When the light first arrived, the directions stated to inspect the light and turn it on before using it to ensure it was properly working. I was pleasantly surprised to see how very bright the lights are. At that moment I could wait to get it in the tank!Previously, I had one small led bulb that I have placed in the tank cover. Though this did provide "some" glowing effect, it can't compare to the amount of glowing now provided by this light bar.The rocks, decorations, and fish are glowing much more than I ever expected! If you are looking to make your own glowing tank, I highly recommend this light bar. The lights are intense and provide ample light for your tank, it's beautiful!!Personally I rely heavily on the reviews of others when I'm shopping. With that said, it's my goal to be as helpful and as honest as possible when writing a review. This one is bright and does the job well. I have a 5 gallon tank for my betta and a shrimp. My gripe is how long the actual light is! Lol. Of course it's my own fault for not measuring properly, so I won't deduct stars for my own error. But I've made it work and I'm content.
