The film that is "HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to leave in place when not in use" was NOT on the device.The HDMI cords would not plug all the way in, even when using pressure. The devices wouldn't work when partially plugged into this device (as far as I was able to get them in).The KINIVO 501BN I have hooked up to my other TV works perfectly (for 10 months now)!The GORONYA looks similar, but is lacking the quality. Now no need for manually switch HDMI inputs to watch a movie, Netflix or Amazon Prime.
