**Q: Is this product (osmo polyx-oil high solid 3031 clear matte) a suitable option for finishing glue-down forna cork floor tiles?**
A: Don't know. Are the tiles wood? If so should work. Sorry for not being more helpful.

**Q: Would the osmo polyx be okay on a fireplace mantle that gets pretty warm?**
A: Yes, it will be fine after the full cure time of two weeks.

**Q: Does this product penetrate like a mineral oil or does it have some body to it? Does it sit on the surface to give almost a polyurethane finished look**
A: It is a penetrating natural oil finish that leaves a wax micro-film layer on the surface. It gives more of a natural oil look with the forgiveness similar to polyurethane.
