When I tried it I worked great. Great deal for the money. Will last forever. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Drilled more than 1000 holes in soft soil for mondo grass sprigs *by E***R on Reviewed in the United States on 31 December 2022* This was exactly what we needed to drill a HUGE number of planting holes over 3 weekends. We were planting a large area of mondo grass, which involved planting 1000+ sprigs of mondo. We started digging the holes by hand with a trowel, then quickly realized that it would take the rest of our lives to complete the process by hand. I ordered this auger bit to drill the holes and it was fantastic! With the right soil conditions, it performed beautifully. We drilled all the holes over a period of several days (not all at once). Tips for getting the best results: DO provide good spoil conditions. The soil should be damp and soft, not wet, not dry, not hard. If the soil is hard and dry, water it thoroughly and wait (in our case it was a day or two) to let the water drain and soften the soil. DO NOT drill too many holes at a time because your drill will overheat...the harder the dirt, the harder the drill must work. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Don't plant a bulb without it *by T***M on Reviewed in the United States on 10 October 2022* We had 500 daffodil bulbs to plant and it wasn't looking good. We planted them in an hour and a half using the smaller auger. It worked great. We used a 20V cordless 1/2" drill. It cut through roots easily and handled small rocks. We were amazed at how quickly it went. The perfect tool for the job.
