These are excellent pencils, very good value. **Q: Are these pre filled?** A: Yes they come pre filled **Q: How many leads are in each pencil?** A: I checked a couple of them. There was one spare lead behind the eraser, plus the one in use. I bought a bunch of higher quality leads when I bought my Madisi set. **Q: Is the eraser refillable ?** A: Yes, just like most mechanical pencils.
