The size (length and breadth), material and size of the squares is exactly as given in the product description.The size of the squares is small enough that birds can't get through, or even sit on it, but large enough that if a pigeon gets accidentally stuck, it will probably be able to extricate itself from the net easily (this happened once with me). But normally they just stay away from these things. The good thing is that even the smaller birds are now staying away from our balconies.Note: I ordered two more nets after the first one turned out to be so good and useful.
