They do not scratch any surface, but actually scrubs away food off dishes, pans, silverware anywhere you want to use it. I have a flat top stove I use the scrubby on and it doesn't scratch the surface. When dirty I put in the washer, then remove and let air dry. Just one scrubby can last for 6 months or longer, if they are made correctly. This company knows how to Crochet them and they will last a long time. I would definitely buy them again from this company. I rate them a (10) TEN. Great JOB for a handmade products. I've been using the scrubbies for over 10 years and buy them for friends and family as gifts.I've tried other product like brillo pads and they scratch everything. They last really well, unlike the nylon net ones you buy at the store that disintegrate after a handful of uses. I am still using the first one I bought after a month of use and it looks great. You can wash these in the dishwasher or your washing machine and they are still usable. I have been through so many of these that I bought at different stores and supermarkets and I will never buy any other kind but these again. They are perfect, wonderful, and the best at scrubbing dirty dishes. You can't go wrong buying these scrubbies.
