Most leak in my pool occur around the plastic inlet fittings. It adheres well to the plastic and the concrete. This putty is what the professionals use. **Q: Can the application of this product be removed if necessary?** A: The putty hardens like a rock. Removal would likely require sanding and or hammer / chisel **Q: can this be used to fill leaking within tile grout? Without having to buy a whole grout repair kit. Thanks!** A: This could work as a temporary repair. You would need to remove any loose material and wire brush all contact surfaces. The minimum depth and thickness must be 1/8”, 1/4” or greater is preferable. Conventional grout may be the better, longer term solution for tile repairs **Q: Will this work on vinyl pools?** A: Vinyl pools? As in: A large inflatable type pool? I wish I could tell you that it does. I honestly do not know. But this epoxy works best on hard, non-flexible surfaces, ie. wood, concrete, fiberglass, metal, etc. You might want to look into Phil Swift's FLEX SEAL product line. He has a host of waterproofing products. Apparently, the super adhesive flex tape kicks butt & holds out/or in, water. But I'd strongly recommend you talk to one of their service reps first. I mixed the product and applied it to the seam with a little bit of water as the skimmer housing was lower than the stucco so it was applied wet. It dried in thirty minutes and I tested with the leak detector and found a tiny leak in the corner and applied some more compound. Tested again thirty minutes later and no more leak.
