**Q: Is this adhesive? Or do I have to put glue on?**
A: That specific type requires adhesive glue. Be careful because it will show bubbles and air pockets if it's not secured!!

**Q: Can it be used to cover old stair treads?**
A: Yes, It can be used to cover stair treads. You just need to protect the veneer with a lacquer or any suitable protective product on the veneer surface.

**Q: Do you remove the paper backing?**
A: No, apply the glue to the paper backing.

**Q: Can veneer sheets be used on ceilings after textures has been removed?**
A: Interesting question. I don't think that I would use Veneer for that as it is very thin. It will show every curve of the drywall under it. I suppose if you were able to finish the drywall perfectly which never really happens and then seal it and then glue this veneer up in theory it would work but I don't believe it would ever look truly flat. You'd probably be better off with something one eighth of an inch or so to achieve a flat surface that wouldn't look horrible with the wrong lighting.

Turned out beautifully. It is NOT a peel and stick though. You will need contact cement to apply this. I had never done veneer before and this was fairly easy to worth with. Took varathane oil based ebony stain really well too. But make sure to do 400 grit sand before staining as it is a little rough.
