These are a good replacement. Foam is stiff but comfortable. I wrecked the factory covers forcing them over the slightly thicker pads but had purchased a different brand previously and at 100 lbs my sneakers laces were taking pieces out of the foam. Was going to use a thick pair of ankle socks if covers wouldn't go on.
