Some of the reviews talk about "linen" but I ordered burgundy faux leather -- and that's what I got. I liked it so much, I ordered a second one days after receiving the first one. It says it can hold 330 lbs., and while I don't weigh remotely close to that, I'm not small, and sat on it for a good 30 minutes while visiting with my sister and it was amazingly comfy. It will work for extra seating for Christmas when the family is over. Smell is mentioned -- both of mine do have a distinctive smell. But I sprayed the first one, then put in a sheet of fabric softener, and the smell is about gone after just a few days, so I'm in the process of doing that to the other one right now. I am very very happy with both of my little foldable tufted faux leather storage ottoman(s). I recommend them to someone who needs a bit of attractive storage with strength. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ No Problems. He really likes it and finds it very comfortable for his legs to rest on, and is keeping a few small items inside it, like a scarf he got for Christmas and some Christmas candy. I didn't really buy it for the storage or for sitting on, but for his legs, as an ottoman.He had a very easy time putting it together, too. As a box, it is very sturdy because the stiff board that stabilizes it fits very snugly and the top fits snugly as well. As an ottoman, it is a bit homely and inelegant, but the top looks cushy and it can hold at least a little weight. I've read that conditioning PU leather with some sort of oil might keep it looking fresh - I hope so, but this is pretty cheap so I'm not worried.
