Over the past few years I’ve owned Bose Quiet Comfort, Sennheiser Momentum, Shure Aonic 215, Bang & Olufson H95 and Beyerdynamic DT770. I listen to a lot of music, movies and pod casts. The Bose were good but lasted less than 2 years before one side just stopped working. The Sennheiser Momentum are built to last, great features and great sound but they’re just not that comfortable after an hour or two. The H95’s were good but just good and for $800 you’d think they would surprise you. I first bought the Shure 215 and really like them. Then I lost one of the ear pieces. If I could kick my own ass, I would have. I decided to replace them but this time I bought the Shure Aonic 5. I paid $689 to get the bluetooth adapter. I know it’s a lot of money but, they are sturdy and built to last. Im hoping it’s my last pair for a long time. I will be updating this review. The sound quality of the Aonic 5 is unmatched in its price range and below. To get something better you’d have to spend nearly a 1k. It mids are strong and clear and the highs are crisp without sounding tinny and the base is perfectly balanced. The bass gives you that solid thump without sounding like a pair of Beats.If you’re going to invest the money into a pair of Shure earbuds, go the extra mile and get the bluetooth adapters. They are very comfortable and wrap your ear to keep them in place. If you wear your earbuds for extended periods of time, the quality of sound is very important to you and you demand quality and durability then you want the Shure Aonic 5 with bluetooth adapter. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good sound quality & Fairly decent bass! *by J***N on Reviewed in the United States on December 23, 2021* Origionally, I bought the Shure SE425-CL. Although they worked, the bass side was really lacking for my personal tastes. To be clear, I'm not a rock/accustical listener. I prefer EDM where the bass is half the vocal/melody, a big focus to the music. The SE425 it was hardly audible. Although its not a DRASTIC increase on the Aonic 5, it is still a more more deeper, pronounced bass. Personally, I still wish these had more ( Like a subwoofer in the room ) or like you experience on a handful of <$100 earbuds. But, Those earbuds tend to use VERY loud bass to hide their flaws in the mids/highs.Sound Quality: I'm pretty happy with it. I tend to like bright audio to make Synths pop, so I did end up changing the tubes to the "Bright" ones. The SE425's felt like the audio was kinda, compact together? Compared to those at least, the Aonic 5 does feel like it was built to be spacial. The audio just feels much more open/room-like, you can tell instrtuments apart more, etc. Compared to the SE425 at least, I feel these are very clear. Much more happier with these by far!Comfort: I appreciate these come with so many sizes and types of sleeves. Rubber, Foam, Memory foam. Everyone is different. Rubber ones tend to bother my ears after hours, and I know foam bothers some people too. I personally find the foam ones very comfy and really enjoy the memory foam ones as well, the memory foam expands a little slower...so I find them easier to put in. They seem to be more softer expansion too.Also. I have to say. I'm all for the fact so much is replacable on these things. Break the wire/Snag it? Who cares, you just pop the earbud out via detachable wire and buy a new cable. Somehow break the nozzle going from the earbud to your ear? Who cares. They're replacable. Why cant more earbuds/headphones/honestly anything, just have ease of replacement? I feel these are designed to be less e-waste in that sense. Anywhom. I think my hunt ends here. I dont want to spend more on earbuds, and these I at least feel happy with them.
