All the knives are finished really well and feel like a more expensive set. They are reasonably weighty in the hand (you feel where your money went) without being too heavy and cumbersome. The blades came reasonably sharp - not the sharpest I've ever seen, it has to be said, but they'll suffice and with a sharpening steel on hand, they should be easy to touch up when necessary. The only weakness, as someone else mentioned and I've read in reviews of most similar sets, is the scissors, which are a little loose and feel cheaper than the rest of the set... but I won't knock a star off as I view that more of a bonus item.
