Review: Solid RAM upgrade with good value and speed - Why I ordered this item: My laptop is stuck with an old 16GB kit and Chrome eats it alive with like 30 tabs open. I wanted more headroom for VMs and general multitasking. Likes: * Installed easy, computer booted right up and saw the full 32GB in the BIOS. * Speeds are zippy. I ran a few benchmark tests after install and my scores jumped up a good amount. * It runs XMP fine on my board, didn't have to mess with timings or anything. * No heat spreader on these, just bare green PCBs. Kind of a plain look but they fit in my laptop's memory slots perfectly. * Price for 32GB of DDR5 is pretty great right now. No likes: * The label on the stick is tiny and hard to read if you ever need to double check part numbers. * The timings aren't the snappiest out there. If your motherboard supports faster kits you might notice a difference in really demanding stuff. Would I pay full price for this product: Yes Final thoughts: This is a simple memory upgrade that got my system feeling less jacked up under heavy loads. Chrome with 30 tabs and a VM running in the background doesn't choke my machine anymore. Review: Fantastic Ram, ddr5, thats incredibly hard to find and works fantastic in an Asus 2022 M16 - DDR5 So-Dimm. 32gb. From crucial and it uses micron chips and is absolutely bulletproof when it comes to ram. Passed all ram tests that were ran twice. Took all of 10 minutes to install this ram into a brand new Asus 2022 M16 gaming laptop that was only running 16gb so it needed it. Its crazy fast, dual channel stock, and works perfectly as expected. Of course ram is spendy nowadays but that is to be expected as every component is either short on stock, hampered by logistical nightmares of shipping/sourcing/etc, or just scalpers seeing a hole to exploit so they can turn a quick buck by buying up all the stock then raising the prices 25-50% and selling it to everyone that needs it because guess what? Stocks out, and their stock is in, and if you need the item youre forced to pay that amount or suffer which is ridiculous. Anyways, get this ram before it sells out and youre forced to pay 1.5X or more than msrp ( and the price alone has jumped 20% since i bought it a week or two ago which is nuts already ) TL;DR - Fantastic Ram, Great for those new kick butt Gaming laptops like the Asus 2022 M16 i just got that runs the alder lake chipset that runs ddr5 and makes use of the ram. Get it now before its gone ## Features - Boosts System Performance: 32GB DDR5 RAM laptop memory that operates at 4800MHz to improve multitasking and system responsiveness for smoother performance - Accelerated gaming performance: Every millisecond gained in fast-paced gameplay counts—power through heavy workloads and benefit from versatile downclocking and higher frame rates - Optimized DDR5 compatibility: Best for 12th Gen Intel Core and AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors — Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO also supported on the same RAM module - Trusted Micron Quality: Backed by 42 years of memory expertise, this DDR5 RAM is rigorously tested at both component and module levels, ensuring top performance and reliability - ECC type = non-ECC, form factor = SODIMM, pin count = 262-pin, PC speed = PC5-38400, voltage = 1.1V, rank and configuration = 2Rx8 ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09RVNMGFH | | Additional Features | Lightweight | | Best Sellers Rank | #37 in Computer Memory | | Brand | Crucial | | Column Address Strobe Latency | 40 | | Compatible Devices | Laptop | | Computer Memory Size | 32 GB | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 1,242 Reviews | | Data Transfer Rate | 4800 MHz | | Form Factor | SO-DIMM | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00649528906533 | | Item Type Name | DDR5 Laptop Memory | | Item Weight | 8.21 g | | Manufacturer | Crucial | | Memory Form Factor | SODIMM | | Memory Generation | DDR5 | | Memory Speed | 4800 MHz | | Mfr Part Number | CT32G48C40S5 | | Model Name | DDR5 4800MHz SODIMM | | Model Number | CT32G48C40S5 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Pins | 260 | | RAM Memory Technology | DDR5 | | RAM Size | 32 GB | | Special Feature | Lightweight | | UPC | 649528906533 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Voltage | 1.1 | | Warranty Description | Limited Lifetime Warranty | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Crucial - **Compatible Devices:** Laptop - **Computer Memory Size:** 32 GB - **Memory Speed:** 4800 MHz - **RAM Memory Technology:** DDR5 ## Images ![Crucial 32GB DDR5 RAM, 4800MHz CL40 Laptop Memory - Compatible with Intel 12th Gen and AMD Processors - CT32G48C40S5 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61u+ioPoR1L.jpg) ![Crucial 32GB DDR5 RAM, 4800MHz CL40 Laptop Memory - Compatible with Intel 12th Gen and AMD Processors - CT32G48C40S5 - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61n6CH1Q8pL.jpg) ![Crucial 32GB DDR5 RAM, 4800MHz CL40 Laptop Memory - Compatible with Intel 12th Gen and AMD Processors - CT32G48C40S5 - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71SkqHpPCmL.jpg) ![Crucial 32GB DDR5 RAM, 4800MHz CL40 Laptop Memory - Compatible with Intel 12th Gen and AMD Processors - CT32G48C40S5 - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61qi63hTM+L.jpg) ![Crucial 32GB DDR5 RAM, 4800MHz CL40 Laptop Memory - Compatible with Intel 12th Gen and AMD Processors - CT32G48C40S5 - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71a2asm7VwL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size, Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: anyone buy the 32gb stick for the new 2022 asus g14 (ga402rj)6900hs/6700s/16gb ddr5 4800MHz? A great value price from a very respectable company. If you need an upgrade, this is probably your best shot right now. *** General Warnings *** - CL40. Most "good" DDR4 sticks are around CL18 or CL20, or the "clock timing." It is on the slower side, but the DDR5 technology, and pretty high clock speeds def will make up for it. - RAM limits. Most modern laptops at the moment (unless you're buying a thousands of dollars one), have limits to the amount of RAM that can be upgraded, so be sure to check on that to ensure the capacity you are purchasing does not exceed the maximum supported by your laptop. - Packaging. The ram stick comes in a plastic box that keeps it isolated, but still very vulnerable to damage, be very cautious when handling as to not step, drop, or put too much pressure on it in any way. *** Conclusion *** Having it on my system feels extremely nice, whether you buy the 16gb or 32gb model, make sure to choose the one that is best for your system. As DDR5 is still rather new, especially for laptops, the choices will widen up for the RAM sticks available, but for now, these are the best for their price and punch! ## Frequently Bought Together - Crucial 32GB DDR5 RAM, 4800MHz CL40 Laptop Memory - Compatible with Intel 12th Gen and AMD Processors - CT32G48C40S5 - Crucial P310 1TB 2280 PCIe Gen4 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD – Up to 7,100 MB/s – Shift up to Gen4, with Acronis Offer, Internal Solid State Drive (PC) – CT1000P310SSD801 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/412337502-crucial-32gb-ddr5-ram-4800mhz-cl40-laptop-memory-compatible-intel](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/412337502-crucial-32gb-ddr5-ram-4800mhz-cl40-laptop-memory-compatible-intel) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
