**Q: Can this be used to bridge a remote LAN using the ethernet port?**
A: I am using it as an access point via ethernet cable to a LAN port from a LAN port of my Gateway router(EA9500); of course DHCP is disabled on the EA6900.  Common SSID, Common PW.

**Q: Do you have to log devices into this extender instead of the router?**
A: The device functions much like an extension cord for electrical devices...You connect to it just and it is connected to your router.

**Q: does this come with intrustructions needed to get this up and running on a manual set up?**
A: Yes, clear instructions are included with the product. If you need further setup support, call Linksys customer support. They are one of the best networking and computer companies on the planet. I always buy Linksys or Dell.
