A: The connection to the waterer is 1/2 inch the other end is 1 inch to fit any exterior facet

**Q: What is the best method you've found to clean it and prevent algae growth?**
A: This water bowl gets very little algae growth. Just turn off the water source, lift up the flap, scoop the small amount of water out or tip it over  and wipe it out every so often. It’s very easy to clean.

### ⭐ Worst product I've purchased in years

I purchased two of these knowing I'd probably have to adjust them, and knowing I'd need a 3/4 to 1/2" adapter. When they showed up one of them was missing the drain plug, so it was useless. The second unit wouldn't shut off with water, after nearly an hour of making adjustments I looked at the first unit and realized the rubber plunger inside of the valve was missing from the second bowl. So two defective units. Using parts from both units, I was able to make one functional bowl. So I ordered a third bowl. The third bowl showed up missing the side gasket, and also had a defective plunger assembly. So I was able to use 3 bowls to make 1 functional bowl, but all 3 purchased bowls arrived defective. I'd gladly pay $100 for a working version of this product, but it seems nobody makes them with both a working float assembly, and a brass fitting.
