I mix my own because I prefer a more matte finish.** A: you can use your own clear but if you are looking at any Amaco tests for what your results would be, then use the Amaco to match those results. **Q: Is it safe to use for the food dishes ?** A: Yes, they are all safe for food. Most say low fire, but I have fired all of them to cone 6 with no problem. Reds may fade out some **Q: can these be used to make underglaze transfers?** A: I haven’t tried them for Underglaze transfers. I guess it might work if you make your colors strong enough. I see no reason why not. **Q: Can you fire to cone 5 with thesr?** A: Yes.
