If you're a first-time user, just remember that you have to be religious about disinfecting everything after every use, or else you'll spread infection around your face.For what it's worth, this set is very pretty---somewhere between rose gold and copper, which is unusual. I had another set that was a lot more utilitarian, but the tips weren't nearly as precise, and I ultimately ended up repurposing them for use sculpting paper clay......The tips on this set are all very precise----in fact, some of them are slightly frightening-looking, and the set doesn't come with a "map" to tell you what to use where. For example, I have no idea what the scary curved hook is for, and please don't ever tell me. Both the lance and the needle-tip tweezers are deadly.The only thing I don't like about this set is that the foam inside the case is too floppy and not secured to the bed of the tin. SO when you remove the tools, the foam is too wobbly to stay in nice, straight channels. It's not a huge problem, but it means that you need to use two hands to put the tools away instead of one. I guess you could pull the foam out and throw it away, but then the tools would jangle around loosely and noisily.Bottom line: If you're going to perform self-surgery on your face, might as well have a pretty set of tools with precise tips. Set comes with 5 double sided tools and a zipper leather case to carry them in.There is a manual that will explain what each one is for, although I found it a little hard to understand, but I don't know that you really need that - you just select the tool that works with the size and type of pimple you have. Many of the loops are similar, just differently sized. These are a nice heavy weight. Very durable.One thing to remember to get the most out of this set is to sterilize before and after use, either with rubbing alcohol or boiling hot water. Also make sure your skin is washed prior to and then afterward apply either silver (to remove bacteria) or wash your face again. Comes with two loops, one spoon-shaped loop, two lancets of different shapes and a needle-nosed tweezers. Finish is an attractive copper color and it all comes in a hard-sided case for storage.Pieces are about 5" long. Do make sure you wash your face before and after use or you will just end up spreading more acne around your face.
