I had bought a bare bones system off of the internet (not really knowing what that meant)- Basically it means it has just enough stuff to make the computer turn on. The guy did throw in a mouse and keyboard though. so when it came time to connect to the internet...guess what? No wifi. So I looked around, and no being too computer savy I really didn't want to mess with one of those cards you have to put inside the computer. It did have usb jacks in the back so I bought this one. It arrived with a tiny usb device and a small dvd. (I had previously bought a cheap external dvd drive or I guess I would have been in trouble) I plugged in the USB and loaded the drivers on the DVD to the computer. When I booted everything up, I had internet! Pretty simple. See the photos below for the difference between 802.11g and 5G with this bad boy. If you have Windows 10 insert dongle into a USB port, wait about 30 seconds and you are good to go. Drivers are included in Windows 10. If you have an older O/S everybody suggests installing the CD drivers first. I had no problem with Windows 10 installation. Then find the 5G network in wireless settings and choose it. You type in your password and hold on. Great product for the price, especially on older computers that don't have this technology. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ works great, you may need to spend some time to get it working. *by R***R on Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2017* took a little time to get it installed correctly. after the first install, none of my usb ports would reconigze anthing. I removed the software, reinstalled it, same thing. After trying several things, i found out that after installing it i needed to move it to another usb port and the wifi worked as well as all the other ports. ???
