Firstly the steel, I would question whether this is SS316 stainless steel (going of weight, smoothness, and comparison to the replacement model I purchased). Admittedly, I am no steelworker but can tell by weight and appearance. The biggest problem with this product was the reversible tile insert, which was not level with the surrounding frame. So, after fixing a tile to the middle, there was a drop of around 6mm, resulting in an uneven floor (this for me was unsightly, and also dangerous as you could stub your toe or trip when walking over it!). Needless to say, I purchased new Italian floor drains which are heavy duty, flush with the floor and overall a better product.
