They've got a unique X-shaped twin-strands of floss fixed securely in the head part, which is a bit chunkier than some. The idea is that it makes a better job of cleaning around the tooth and the front edges and there's some truth to that. Problem is the x-shape floss is trickier to insert between tight teeth, you have to line up the centre of the X where the floss is narrowest and work it in carefully. The more you do that the less the X maintains its shape and becomes less effective and so that part of the pick wears out the quickest (like most similar picks).The sharp end is very sharp but flexible and very useful for extracting strawberry seeds from the various nooks and crannies they find to hide. It works for other stuff too. In truth they're certainly as good as other brands and maybe slightly better, so mainly it's a value proposition and I'm not sure they're worth the extra spend compared to other brands.
