What are the ingredients?** A: About 2" across. Ingredients are: Deionized water, Zinc Gluconate, Taurine, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, FD&C Blue #1. **Q: Do you use these with toothpaste, or are they stand alone?** A: This is a stand alone. I run it over all teeth in about 10 seconds as best as i can. I quit using toothpaste and a brush 15 mo ago. hope this helps. **Q: is this product made in America?** A: Yes this product is a made in the USA **Q: Can it be used for cats** A: I chose this product after much searching on the internet, poring through comments and questions here on Amazon. I have a cat family of 4 and didn't want to invade their mouths with brushes or essential oils. After getting this, I first tried this in my own mouth to see what I would be subjecting them to and found it wasn't anything much except a little bit of puckery feel that I now see is probably the zinc. Basically tasteless though because most of the cleansing is mechanical from the structure of the pad. They may not love this procedure but I feel better knowing that clean teeth (and gums) will lead to more health, especially in later years. Very satisfied with this purchase for my feline family. Her teeth are snow white, not a speck of tartar at all. I do her teeth every day at bedtime, and give her a small treat after as a reward. She’s not overly fond of me rooting around in her tiny mouth with my index finger wrapped in the pad, but forgets all about it as soon as she gets her reward. 😆 Highly recommend this product. It is tasteless and odorless which makes it more tolerable, too. I read somewhere dogs dislike mint, though their owners like it for breath freshness. If your dog has clean teeth and healthy gums, you don’t need mint to cover up any odor. They don’t have bad breath. My breed is notorious for bad teeth. I am determined to keep hers clean and healthy. Vet dentals are quite expensive, and anesthesia is always a risk, especially with tiny dogs. This is a very affordable solution, with regular use, that is.
