These are high quality Thermoplastic Rubber feet The durometer (hardness) is 87 The metal insert can be removed to accommodate a larger bolt / screw. This item is perfect for radio gear, cabinets, amps and other items that require rubber feet. I carry a wide selection of round, square and rectangular rubber feet all made in the U.S.A. Review: Good Quality - Rubber, Not Plastic - Made in the USA. At least as advertised, which I believe. Similar items from southeast Asia garner complaints that the feet are plastic and/or the screws break or strip because of poor metal. That's been my experience too with similar products. These are rubber and work well holding my speaker stands in place. (Speaker spikes were not necessary.) The feet are not very soft rubber and can handle a load. Although you could probably still use them for a cutting board. They do not come with screws, but the other products that do have screws should generally be thrown out and replaced with decent screws. I put these in with #8, 1 inch screws I had purchased for audio cabinet applications. To avoid splitting wood or trouble getting the screw set in fully, I predrilled holes in hard MDF with a 7/64 inch bit, which gave the threads plenty of purchase in the wood. The stands sit flat on the floor with no need for adjustment. Recommended.
