Review: ATMOS System Very Powerful & Good Value!!! - I was searching for a way to enhance my TV listening experience. I had an expensive 6 speaker surround sound system in the past but technology had moved on with the introduction of Dolby Atmos for the home. I didnt want the room to be full of speakers & wanted something easy to set up with less wires. A sound bar is the most convenient & practical option. For those not too familiar with the Majority brand they are a UK company that produce a number of very good value home entertainment items. . This model ticked the boxes for me. 1/ It supported Dolby Atmos, the recognised cinema standard now gaining popularity on home streaming services. 2/ A variety of connection options including Bluetooth streaming to pair with my echo/phone. 3/ A wireless subwoofer for enhanced bass & convenient placement. desertcart delivery was super speedy & all items were well packaged. It came with the remote (2 AA batteries needed) audio cable & a power lead. This may be a little short for some depending on placement but is standard 2 pin type so very easy to get a longer one if required. The Subwoofer lead is built in, not an issue they work best placed near a wall. Both are well made and substantial & the Sound bar is just under a metre wide. Handy brackets are also supplied for wall mounting . CONNECTION! CONNECTION!! CONECTIONS!!! It’s imperative to have the right connection(s) & a number of very useful option are available . Independent analogue & digital audio is catered for via 3.5mm jack & a toslink optical input. I tried both methods & the sound was crisp & clear. Bluetooth streaming from my phone was also excellent with a good range & strong connection. For best quality A/V however HDMI is100% the way to go! You may connect 2 devices this way DIRECT to the Sierra plus. Then simply connect another hdmi lead from the sound bar output to your TV hdmi input (arc if possible). Viola! You now have access to the wonderful world of Dolby Atmos. I connected a fire TV stick 4k max & PC to test the Atmos capabilities. Firing up demos on the PC & Atmos encoded titles on streaming services like Prime or Netflix was super impressive producing a stunningly detailed & realistic experience . The multi speaker array with upward firing speakers really took things to the next level. The subwoofer paired automatically & really does add to the experience, the impact is often spectacular believe me! The combo produced an incredibly rich & vivid sound stage, offering great clarity, a real treat for the ears! The 400w setup ensures there is PLENTY of power. PLEASE NOTE: Source equipment & content must be Atmos capable to experience the full effect. However even with my older equipment (freeview) on content that is not currently Atmos capable, you experience quality surround sound & so viewing pleasure is greatly enhanced. On a side note I am a bit of an audiophile & fired up desertcart HD Music & was impressed with the capability to produce full 192 kHz HI RES audio range. I was greeted by a very engaging sound with absorbing bass response. My advice turn the treble down a notch or 2 for music as it has been tuned more with A/V in mind. So yes with sound for vision it really shines but for music it will likely satisfy all but the most discerning listeners. Ok It’s not quite perfect, ideally I would have liked more options to tweak stuff like the led display, standby mode & eq presets but these are really very minor issues. Most importantly it really delivers on the major one, SOUND!!! Lucky enough to grab while on special offer with a discount voucher. I would give more than 5 stars for value if possible! To conclude, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for those wanting a powerful good quality & forward thinking (ATMOS) convenient surround sound setup that is suitable for even large rooms without breaking the bank.
Review: A good all round affordable Atmos bar - I bought this sound system to compliment my Sky Glass which although having Dolby Atmos speakers and a moderate amount of base, just didn't output sound I was comfortable with unless at higher volume levels. as someone with moderate to severe hearing loss, full sound and clarity are important to me, so when I saw the price and from a trusted brand I've had dealings with before, I knew this would be a winning combination for me. I'm very pleased with my bar, not only was it easy to set up out the box, but my Sky Glass identified and started working with it immediately without issue and listening to the much improved room filling sound was nothing short of incredible. The up-firing speakers projected the Dolby Atmos movie I was watching floorlessly and the improved base from the sub was powerful without being overpowering. The handy remote lets you customise base and treble to your liking, and the dedicated pre-set buttons for music, movie and news/dialog boost and 3d make an impactful difference to the sound you get. A minor niggle I've had with other bar products is that the remotes for these often used circular flat batteries, so I was pleased to find standard AAA batteries of which I have an ample supply were all I needed and are my personal preference. The bar itself is quite big, both in its length and girth. so if mounting on a tabletop stand make sure you have plenty of space around your TV for good airflow, similarly the sub is best placed in the corner of the room where the mesh covered woofer is on the right hand side. If I were going to find a niggle with this bar, it would be the length of time it takes to power on. This is particularly noticeable when using modes other than TV ARC, it takes at least 5 seconds to power on and about 15 to connect to my phone from a powered off state. Once connected via Bluetooth, sound is excellent and the connection stable. There are other HDMI ports on this bar for connecting external devices, however I have not experimented with these so far and there is also digital optical and line in for those needing them. All in all, thoroughly impressed, good value for money, another winner from Majority.

A: Unfortunately not. You can look to see of there is a code or program for a creative soundbar. That nay work for some features.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good sound but terrible remote and volume cannot be controlled with Sky Q remote

I bought this to replace an old Sony system that has served me well for 12 years but I wanted to go down the HDMI ARC / Dolby Atmos route which wasn’t possible with the old unit and this was well priced on Prime Day too. Anyway, this setup came well packed in a large box and setting up was straight forward, easy bloke stuff. I was very impressed with the bar itself, it feels very solid and looks good though the LED display is slightly dated. The sub isn’t quite as impressive and bit of a plain Jane and I'm not at all keen on the cheap and flimsy remote either – more on that later. Reading reviews, it was unclear which was the best route for cabling as I have two devices (a Sky Q box and a PS5 that I wanted to feel the benefit of my new kit. The instructions advised connecting those devices to HDMI1 and HDMI2 of the soundbar then connecting that to the TV via HDMI ARC. This is easy enough to do but you then have to rely on the clunky Majority remote to switch between inputs and there is no auto switching. I therefore connected the PS5 and Sky box directly to the TV as before and after a lot of comparison decided I could hear no difference in sound output probably helped by the fact helped by the fact that the TV is only a year old (OLED LG for the record). It appears 50:50 on the YouTubers which is the best way to go so you can make you own mind up but if you have you have no external devices to connect you don’t have that decision to make. Ultimately I think the difference is negligible to the untrained ear and cabling it to the TV is a more elegant solution for me and I can forget about the Majority remote. I then that found that the soundbar is NOT compatible with the Sky Q remote – the manufacturer just doesn’t appear in the list of compatible devices. A mail to Majority was promptly replied to but of no use - the guy just gave me a code to input but you can’t do that with Sky Q and I’m sure they know that. Pretty weak support and had I known beforehand I couldn’t control the volume with my Sky remote I would most likely not have purchased this unit. As it was, I managed to programme my LG magic remote to control the volume and Sky channels but obviously full Sky functionality isn’t there. However I can now turn everything on with one button press on the (Sky) remote and turning off the TV with the LG remote turns off the soundbar too. Sound is very good though, speech especially is really clear even on movie mode which I mostly leave it in and I need to use subtitles a lot less these days. It isn’t quite room filling but gets there and greatly enhances dramas and movies when the music kicks in without becoming overbearing and for the money spent is a massive upgrade on the TV speakers.
