The colour is superb and the size of the grille is just right. Was not easy to assemble push pins in the legs - plus they are poorly made. And the height is just a bit too short for me. Overall a bit clankly but works really well. Review: Quality product. Even better warranty. - I finally got one after trying my hand on charcoal BBQ with a Smokey Joe that I got for free. Charcoal BBQ is worth the little bit of extra work. It takes a little longer to get the charcoals hot enough even with a chimney, and cleanup takes a minute to empty ash from the bowl into the ash catcher underneath. It's definitely easier than the classic model and it's worth the extra cost. The material, especially the bowl, seems high quality and a nice finish. They got back to me for a photo and shipping address and promptly shipped a replacement lid to my house free of charge. Probably, you'll set the pile of coals on one side of the grill, and leave the other half for indirect (if you're using the Weber Chimney to start your coals, a full chimney really only covers about half anyway). You'll likely want to char the burgers over direct heat first, then move to indirect if needed. This gives about half of the usable area on the grill. So I would say you could comfortably fit 6-8 decent sized burgers, or 4-5 chicken breasts on one side of the grill at any time. That being said, it would be easy to cook for, say, 6-7 people by cooking over direct heat first, moving to indirect to finish, and starting the next batch of burgers/chicken over direct (cycle it). **Q: does it have a thermostat built into the lid ?** A: Hi! Wanted one for years, glad I took the dive. *by T***Y on 6 February 2019* Absolutely love this kettle grill. I have a Kamado Joe Big Joe - cost me $2500 and is a blast to smoke and roast in. Problem with that is there's a lot of prep time, and takes forever to cool off. Also cleanup is annoying. This grill on the other hand is PERFECT. Pros: 1. PORTABILITY and WEIGHT - This thing is light, and can be carried by one person up and down deck stairs without a hitch. If you have a big enough car you can even clean out the inside and shove it in the trunk for a bbq in the park or at a friend's who doesn't have a bbq. Takes up little real estate and fits near anywhere in my backyard. 2. PRICE - Picked this up for under $300 with a cover off amazon including tax. It was shipped to me in 2 days. Can't get better than that. 3. WEBER - It's a Weber. Quality and warranty are top notch. This will last me years and years. 4. ACCESSORIES - There is a multitude of accessories for this grill, all within easily affordable prices. 5. GRILL SPACE - For what you pay you get a massive grill surface (22") to use and can easily refill charcoal without taking it off the grill grate through the 2 side openings that fold up and down on your grill grate. 6. SETUP - This was so easy to put togethor. 30 minutes without a hitch. Read the instructions and pay attention to the orientation of parts and you'll be set! Cons 1. METAL - While I knew this going into the purchase, the metal is very thin and doesn't retain heat well. Also the metal on the legs is very thin and flimsy - again something I was aware of. Thankfully everything is either rust proof or coated so rust won't be an issue for many years. Time will tell how well this cooks in the winter as the cold will make it so you need more fuel to get to high temps for pizzas and such. 2. CHARCOAL GRATE - Metal grate width is very wide so smaller lump charcoal bits go straight down. You'll want to use charcoal briquettes to minimize wasted fuel. This is also soemthing I knew. Overall! This is an amazing grill. The two gripes I went in knowing about so it's not Weber's fault, and I can't dock a star for it as it's just their own design. For what you pay for, this should be in EVERYONE'S home.
