I ended up using the sample for a blondie recipe (which also included winter squash puree and flaxmeal); it mixed easily with the ingredients, dissolved completely and baked well; compared to using whey protein, the brownies were less dry and less `burned` (plant based protein always bakes better than whey/casein); it added a very enjoyable mild and not too sweet vanilla flavor.
