As a DIY enthusiast, I recently experimented with this kit on our clawfoot tub chrome feet and found it to be a remarkably effective and user-friendly product. One of the standout features of this kit is it includes all the necessary components, from primer and oxidizing solution to protective topcoat, making the application process seamless and hassle-free. The clear, step-by-step instructions provided ensured that even beginners could achieve professional-looking results. Upon application of the oxidizing solution, the metal surface undergoes a gradual metamorphosis, developing rich hues of green reminiscent of aged copper or bronze. Furthermore, once sealed with the protective topcoat, the company boasts the patina is safeguarded against weathering and abrasion. While the project I used this patina for will be inside -it will be exposed to moisture occasionally and I wanted a product that would hold up to this environment. Review: Looks so real! - These work great to add rusty effects to a variety of different things! You have to spray/paint on when the activator paint is wet. Really hard to see what you have until it’s dried. **Q: Can you airbrush the primer and base coat?** A: I wouldn’t think so. The primer is very thick and both the primer base have chemical smells so I don’t know if they could be thinned with water and if you were to thin with paint thinner or another chemical I would worry it would impact the chemical process needed to make the patina reaction. **Q: Will it work on a wall** A: I’d have to assume that as long as you properly prepare the surface, it will work on practically any surface. Happy painting! **Q: Can this product be Air Brushed?** A: The primer seems to be an acrylic, and can definitely be airbrushed. As for the paint containing the metal, theoretically it probably can be airbrushed, but there are a lot of considerations to take into account such as keeping the metal in suspension, having an airbrush that has at least a .5 mm tip as anything smaller will probably clog up, and that metal flying through your airbrush will probably erode your needle and tip. Also remember to wear a mask. As for the rusting agent, you probably can airbrush it but wear a mask. Although it’s probably better to use the pump sprayer as that will give a more natural random look to the rust. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Transformative Patina *by S***0 on 22 March 2024* The Testors MM3062-70 Modern Masters Metal Effects Oxidizing Finish Kit-Green Patina offers an authentic green patina finish that I really love. A little pricey, but the smaller 2 oz size such as these allows me to try it. And it goes a long way! I've done a few smaller projects and still have plenty to play with! ## Frequently Bought Together - Testors MM3062-91 Modern Masters Metal Effects Oxidizing Finish Kit-Blue Patina - Modern Masters 306293 Rust Finish 2 oz.
