Review: Alternate grease to Milwaukee products requiring Type Y - Needed grease to maintain the head of an M18 string trimmer attachment w/ quick-lok (49-16-2717 trimmer attached to 3016 power head) and other OPE. The OEM grease listed in the Operator's Manual is Type Y, but Milwaukee replaced that with Type J which is extraordinarily expensive. After extensive research, decided on this Mobilux EP 1 grease to add to the Type Y grease. Yes, I'm aware you should not mix different types of grease, but I have no regret so far. Mobilux EP 1 grease has the same color, texture and other characteristics as the original Type Y grease. Installing the grease was easy using the Astro Pneumatic Tool 101 Mini Grease Gun which is also highly recommended.
Review: Huge Tube for the Price. Works Great! - Bought this to lube my reloader. I didn’t realize how big the tube was. I’m going to have grease the rest of my life!! It works great though, exactly what I needed.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: If I order, will it be sent in a soft envelope so when I open it there will be grease everywhere? This is the biggest complaint.**
A: I received my grease in perfect condition. The seller knew how to pack it securly.

**Q: electric motor grease?**
A: For motor I would recommend Mobil Polyrex EM.
Greases like Mobiluz EP1 are ideal for low-viscosity applications, such as in centralized lubrication systems, this soft grease has the consistency of tomato paste. The penetration range at 77°F (25°C) is 310 to 340.
I hope that helps.

**Q: What is the grease odor? Is it a petroleum smell or a 'crayon' smell?**
A: This product has a petroleum smell

**Q: Has the seller corrected the shipping issue and now packing in sturdy containers?**
A: My EP1 arrived intact and on time ready for use.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Recommended Lube for Home Built CNC
*by L***U on August 1, 2026*

I bought this because it is the type recommended for lubing the rails and ball nuts on home built CNC's. Should work as intended. It was delivered in an appropriately sizes box, unlike other reviewers experiences, so hopefully they've improved the packaging.
