Review: Just get em - I’ve been a guitarist since 1979 , ive been through A LOT of guitar strings. I put a set of these onto a cobra blue Ultra stratocaster HSS and they performed ( are still performing) FLAWLESSLY! Serious bends when playing leads don’t break them , they sound & feel fantastic, keep perfect tuning well and seem to last a very very long time with Awesome Harmonics . Also if 10s are a little thick but 9s are TOO thin , these 9.5s may be exactly perfect for you . I’ll definitely be getting more of these cobalt slinkys in 9.5-44
Review: Sound amazing and feel amazing - I was very scheptical of what these would sound like compared to the hybrid set on my Ibanez, I have A Dimarzio Super Distortion at the neck and a Dimarzio Pro Track in the middle and a Dimarzio x2n at the bridge and the hybrid set sounded good but did have that extra part that was missing in the articulation of heavy riffs and stuff and some of the low end was more muddy sounding and seemed to feel a little off when you set the action and so forth, so i tried out these extra slinky and these blow my mind, its like it still does that low end but it has that extra articulation now with that low notes you get, its insane, and alot easier to pull of pinch harmonics and riffs, ultra smooth fret slides, i am super picky on the guitar, i have my frets polished at 12000 mirror like finish and these just glide so smooth on the frets. If you are ultra scheptical about what strings to get and see so many out there and I am glad i found these as these seem more than good enough for me, now it makes me too addicted to Improv playing again with drum beat in background then playing pc games and stuff :)

**Q: Are they better for finger-picking?**
A: I installed these strings on a 72 fender telecaster thinline with wide range pickups using a fender supersonic 60 watt tube amp and found the sound difference from the Ernie ball super slinky strings I usually use to be harsh. There was more treble then I wanted and an almost chimey sound from the higher notes. This is not a string suited for country music which is what I was playing. It accents the finger picking well by making each individual note stand out more clearly but the louder I played it started distorting and under distortion it was an unpleasant sound. Best stick to the tried and true Ernie ball slinky and super slinky for finger picking. In fact on my american start with single coils the slinky strings sound the best by far for country music. Tuffet to bend then super slinky but a much more rounded tonal quality then these cobalt strings. I hope this review helps.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome Strings for Metal.

These strings are pretty good for the music I play. This is the reason I gave five stars. For Heavy Metal, Modern Rock, Classic Rock, or pretty much anything using distortion, these cobalt strings are great. My only regret is that I should have gotten a larger diameter set. I normally run this size string with other types, but the fatter ones using cobalt definitely sound like they rip. I have no complaints and this size, though. They still sound great. The only thing I noticed was there seems to be a little more fret buzz, but an adjustment would fix that. You cannot hear it through an amplifier, though. When playing clean tones, these things are super bright sounding. Not bad, but I like regular material better. Metal, I don't think you can go wrong.
