I didn't have any issues with the buttoon, i had read a lot of peopke hitting the buttons etc. There is a wheel, that controls the tempature and it is also the power button it is slightly recessed - I didnt find it easy to hit while using the tool. This is my new favorite babybliss item, it took half the time to get my hair smooth and frizz free. YOU GET FLAT IRON LOOK WITHOUT THE DAMAGE. So I originally got ((Revlon RVDR5212F Salon One-Step™ Hair Dryer Brush Styler)) but when I got it out of the box this thing was massive. It was like holding a tong with a grapefruit at the end. Heavy and awkward and it actually didn’t touch the head right. It would take 3x more passes to get the same result. Also the revlon one the heat comes out of the top end of the brush. The babylissPro paddle brush the heat comes from within the brush. It’s like using a flat iron without metal plates so there’s less chance of a sharp burn on your ear or skin. The brush worked better than expected and fast too. The only thing is I did not realize when I ordered this that it doesn’t blow dry. It just brushes it straighter. So if your hair is wet you will need to air dry or blow dry before using. I love the no snag bristles. It’s easy to clean too just a toothbrush will do. The ON OFF button is a tad odd. You PRESS and hold and scroll down To turn off… and press to turn on and scroll for heat. The lowest is 300. I used just 300 and I felt it was more than hot enough to get straight hair without any damage. No heat protection was used. Hair stayed shiny and glossy. I can’t wait to try the miracurl wand (babylissPro) and do some soft waves. (I’m terrible at the lollipop style curler wands 😆 just so scared to burn myself) This product worked well and aside from on off ( You could just pull the plug) i find it easy enough for even young teens to use safely. I didn’t use a mat for my table but I do think at the higher settings this could damage your tables and counters what I recommend is your fresh slightly damp shower towel 😏 just bunch it into a soft pile and rest the paddle on that if you need to put it down.
