It does 60hz beautifully on PS5 and XBox Series X with basically no latency and no frame drops.That being said, I got this mainly for higher framerates and it doesnt seem like this will support 165hz unless you are using DisplayPort.And PS5 unfortunately doesnt have a displayport.So, once I get a 1440p OLED monitor for the PS5, this will be put to use on my gaming PC.

The ASUS TUF Gaming VG277Q1A 27” 1080p monitor has been a solid addition as my secondary screen. The 165Hz refresh rate (with support for 144Hz) makes everything super smooth, whether I’m gaming or just multitasking. 1ms response time paired with Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB) keeps fast-paced games looking crisp with no noticeable ghosting.FreeSync Premium works flawlessly—no tearing or stutters—perfect for pairing with my main setup. The colors and contrast are solid for a TN panel, and the Shadow Boost actually helps in darker scenes without overdoing it.I also appreciate the Eye Care tech and flicker-free screen—feels easier on the eyes during long sessions. Plus, it’s tilt-adjustable, which helps dial in the angle when running dual monitors.For the price, it’s hard to beat. Clean design, reliable performance, and perfect as a secondary or even primary monitor for competitive gaming. Would definitely buy it again.

This is what I consider the perfect gaming monitor as the 27" 1080P display with 165Hz refresh is the magic size for gaming. I have used both a console and PC with it and both look amazing.Don't be fooled by thinking you need 4K or even 2K for gaming, 1080P will give you great results with better refresh time.Overall this is a great display.

Great screen for the money

This is a review for the ASUS TUF Gaming 27” 1080P Gaming Monitor (VG277Q1A). I can confirm that this monitor runs 120Hz on PS5 playing Fortnite and COD. It did Not run out of the box it was factory set at 60fps, i connected it to a PC to change the settings, Setting>System>Display>Advanced display settings> then change it 120Hz after that it run's everything at 120Hz. This monitor claims 165hz also as an option but i did not test it and used 1920x1080 120Hz for use with PS5/XBOX , even 4k ultra HD videos on youtube looked amazing, on sale for just over $130 it's a great deal. it's don't have HDR or true 4k resolution but your getting alot for this price and it's a big 27 wide screen monitor, the VA panel is very bright and makes up for the lack of HDR.

My daughter loves this monitor

This is an amazing gaming monitor. Good quality it always looks very clear and vivid. There’s also a lot of cool settings and features. The gameplay is always fast and reliable. It’s a good monitor for competitive ranked games like call of duty. I would love to review more monitors like this. Thank you
